I’ve been on the meds everyday for over a yr. I take Rifampin, Ethambutol, and Azithromycin. Yes they really made me sick in the beginning then I kind of adjusted to them. Then when you think your doing ok the side effects return. (At least for me) I’m adding to this post because I’ve had severe GERD for 10 yrs and even the Nexium wasn’t helping much. As an unexpected bonus I noticed that when I started the meds my GERD got much better. Not like I don’t ever have it any more but at least it’s not everyday. It doesn’t seem to matter what I eat. I can eat the same thing one day and not have it and eat the same food the next and have it so bad it keeps me up with chest pains most of the night. When I went to NJ they said the MAC is also in the esophagus. I’ve read that some others on this board felt better with their reflux after taking the meds.
