Reply To: Have the NTM meds or surgery 'cured' anyone?

This question is on the same lines as Pipsqueak’s. I am to have a lung resection in June provided that my treatment has decreased the infection to a confined area. Has anyone had a resection and been off meds or “cured”? Has anyone had surgery and had to go back on meds?

Needless to say I am nervous about surgery and the fact that it may or may not work. I am 25 and want to lead a normal life someday. It seems to be a lot to go through for not a very confident outcome. any advice?
