I think there’s a difference between mist from a steam iron and the prolonged and all-encompasing exposure to mist in a steam room. Also, in a steam room or lodge, one deals with other people’s exhalations as well, which can’t be good. I’m wondering now about air conditioning, especially in big buildings or condos. I’ve read MAC has been found in roof-top water tanks. And what about bottled water, which I thought so pure, and which I now hear comes from the tap? Do they really purify tap water? And if so, how do they do it? And then there are humidifiers. I haven’t used a room vaporizer for years and I’m thinking now maybe I shouldn’t. Of course, only some of us actually get these NTM bugs, so there are other reasons, but I don’t want to make my own battle with M. Abscess any worse if I can possibly help it, which means I’m back to the tub bathing I did growing up in Brooklyn and don’t take showers.
