CORAL GABLES, FL   April 2, 2010 - NTM Info & Research (NTMir) announced today that it has implemented a new website for nontuberculous mycobacterial (NTM) lung disease.

"Our new site is designed to showcase all of the information we offer - educational and informational resources for patients, their families, physicians, and scientists," said Philip Leitman, president of NTMir.

NTMir began with a pamphlet, "Insight: A Patient's Perspective," developed by Mr. Leitman and his wife Fern, a long-time NTM patient.  "The pamphlet has been updated to include more information about medications, talking with one's physician, and a greatly expanded glossary," said Leitman.  "We have already received rave reviews about it, and we are very excited to offer it digitally on our new website."

NTMir's website will continue to offer the latest information on drug research, trials requiring patient participation, and scientific developments related to NTM lung disease.

NTM Info & Research, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, was started in 2003 through a collaboration between patients and physicians.  NTMir has become an important part of the patient and medical communities, serving thousands of patients, physicians and scientists around the world.
